Call the Parent WarmLine  any time you want information.  You will be asked to provide your name, telephone number, and a brief description of your concern.

If a parenting specialist is not immediately available, one will return your call and discuss your concerns as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours, or 48 hours on weekends.

We’ll help by giving you specific information and practical advice about your concerns, and by identifying community resources available in your area.

Parent WarmLine is an outreach service provided for residents of Mower and Freeborn Counties and surrounding areas.  The first goal of the Parent WarmLine is putting parents in touch with someone helpful in providing options to questions or concerns about child-raising.

The Mower and Freeborn Counties Parent WarmLine is a service provided by the Parenting Resource Center, Inc., funded by the Children’s Trust Fund and United Way.

“Kari had another temper tantrum while we were shopping yesterday.  I don’t want to keep having episodes like that!  What am I supposed to do?”

When you have a question about your child, you don’t always have the time to read a book for the answer.

“I didn’t expect my baby to be so fussy, so often.  Is this normal?  What can I do to comfort him?

Parenting can be as frustrating as it is fund, as challenging as it is rewarding.  It is normal for parents to need support and encouragement from someone who understands what it’s like to be apparent.  That’s why the Parenting Resource Center, Inc. has a parenting specialist available to talk to you.

Parent Warmline is a FREE consultation service for parents looking for support and practical information about the behavior and development of their children.  Just call the Parent WarmLine and a parenting specialist with ready access to child development and parenting information will return your call.

Parent WarmLine offers support, encouragement and advice for the concerns that you face each day as a parent.  Parent WarmLine is a place to call for help to cope with parental stress and frustration sometimes associated with raising children – or to simply talk about general concerns about your children.

“My teen has friends I don’t know and is struggling in school. Is this normal?”

Parent WarmLine staff can help you explore options for coping with issues such as peer pressure, transitions, alcohol, tobacco and illegal drug temptations, sexuality, divorce and blended families.

Dealing with unpleasant situations and difficult issues are part of parenting.  It helps to have emotional support and a partner in problem-solving.
